Andrew Smith

His extensive experience working with academic hospitals, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), community hospitals and physician group practices enables him to serve as a strategic advisor to many of the industry’s leading Executives.  He has in-depth knowledge of and experience in implementing and optimizing clinical systems with a focus on physician-centric applications, including computerized physician order entry (CPOE) and clinical documentation. Andrew has worked on benchmarking efforts with several leading IDNs and community hospitals and has helped them prepare for HITECH’s Meaningful Use and Health Information Exchange (HIE) requirements.  Prior to founding Impact Advisors, Andrew was a Vice President with a large healthcare consultancy and managed the Midwest Region. Andrew frequently presents at industry conferences and seminars.


Peter Smith

He specializes in IT assessment and strategic planning, IT organizational design and IT governance modeling.  Like Andrew, Peter serves as a trusted advisor to numerous industry-leading CEOs and CIOs.  Prior to founding Impact Advisors, Peter was a Vice President at a large healthcare consultancy with national responsibility for managing the Advisory Services practice.

Todd joined Impact Advisors soon after it was founded. Prior to joining Impact Advisors, Todd was the Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the University of Chicago Medical Center (UCMC).

Prior to joining UCMC, Todd spent several years with a large healthcare IT consulting firm as a Practice Director in the Advanced Technologies Group delivering technology-related projects for numerous academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks, and community hospitals, and he also has several years of experience at a “Big Five” consulting organization. Todd has written or contributed to numerous articles, participated on various industry panels and presented at a number of technology conferences.


Maria Smith

Maria Smith has nearly 20 years of experience including financial and cost accounting and analysis, budgeting, cash flow management, collections and payables, and corporate tax and audit preparation. Read More

Prior to joining Impact Advisors, Maria was a Principal Consultant for a “Big 5″ Audit and Consulting firm and an Accountant at a Manufacturing Firm.  Maria has significant consulting experience  specializing in financial systems implementation and she also has held numerous human resource management positions.  Her expertise is invaluable in managing a well-run business, and guiding strategic and operational decisions for the organization.  

 


Matt Duncan

Matt has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare IT field and has helped many of the nation’s largest and most complex health systems, providing trusted advisory services around planning and implementing enterprise vendor strategies. Read More

He has led dozens of engagements around IT strategic planning, assessing operational performance, guiding selections of core electronic health record (EHR) and revenue cycle vendors, negotiating IT contracts, developing IT cost models and budgets, and planning and implementing system implementations. Matt’s focus areas include merger and acquisition due diligence, defining IT requirements of accountable care models, and developing health information exchange strategies. He has been a deputy CIO of a large health system, and led the healthcare strategy service of the world’s largest IT research firm.


Paula Elliott

Paula is an experienced and talented Executive Program Manager with over 30 years of experience implementing and managing healthcare information technology and projects. Read More

Paula leads the Impact Advisors Strategic Implementation Practice, and her depth of experience with leading electronic health record (EHR) and revenue cycle systems projects, combined with her operational change management skills, allow her to work across a variety of venues and in challenging settings. Paula has been credited with turning around numerous EHR implementations and driving them to success.  Paula has also worked closely with clients managing new facility transitions. Prior to joining Impact Advisors, Paula was an Implementation Director in the Cerner practice for a large healthcare consultancy. Paula has worked for multiple IT vendors and spent the first 10 years of her career in hospital finance.


Bill Faust

Additionally, Bill has enjoyed a great deal of success serving his clients in a planning, Q/A and advisory capacity.  Bill has a well-established record for building and maintaining strong relationships with his client and vendor partners alike. Bill is known for instituting rigorous program mechanics and structure which have helped him bring exceptionally aggressive program timelines to fruition. Before beginning his career in healthcare IT, Bill spent four years serving as a Missouri State Parole Officer.


Keith MacDonald

He possesses both broad and deep clinical information systems experience and has tracked and reported on IT trends, operational best practices and vendor capabilities. Keith’s operational leadership in the academic faculty and large, multi-specialty physician group practice settings enables him to fully understand the necessary requirements, impacts and implementation best practices for IT in those settings.  Keith also leads Impact Advisors’ IT Strategic Planning service offering.


Lydon Neumann

Lydon has in-depth expertise in comprehensive, enterprise-wide healthcare information systems, including strategy development, long-range planning, system assessment, acquisition and implementations in support of clients’ operational processes, including electronic health records, clinical analytics, computerized provider order entry (CPOE), clinical documentation/content management, physician and patient portals, enterprise scheduling, patient access, revenue cycle, strategic sourcing, contracting, product management/value analysis, logistics and eProcurement. He brings specific experience in industry trading communities, product strategies, enterprise resource planning (ERP), health information exchange (HIE), business process redesign, clinical adoption and change management.  Lydon is a frequent speaker at national events and regularly contributes articles to national publications.


John Stanley

His background and expertise includes strategic IT planning, operations and project management, business development, large-scale technology implementation and product/market planning.  He is a recognized thought leader in health information exchange and healthcare analytics solutions.  He is currently Impact Advisors’ Client Relationship Executive for the Western U.S., and he is the National Services Leader for their  HIE Services.  Prior to joining Impact Advisors, John was the international business development leader for a health IT solutions vendor, and he also spent several years as a Director in the technology practice of a large healthcare IT consulting organization.  John regularly contributes to national publications and has presented at a number of industry conferences.


Jenny McCaskey

She has served as Project Director and Project Manager on many electronic health record (EHR) implementations and change management projects, and is recognized as a leader in Cerner Program Management. Prior to joining Impact Advisors, Jenny spent 12 years with First Consulting Group. In this role, she was responsible for providing excellent client delivery during EHR implementations with a focus on pre-implementation planning, process re-design, clinical readiness and post-live stabilization. Jenny is passionate about building and maintaining relationships and living the firm’s mission to “Create a Positive Impact.”  Jenny leads Impact Advisors’ Cerner Service Line.

At Impact Advisors, Ted focuses on  large scale project direction with a strong background and experience in both large IDNs and academics. His significant strategic planning insight for organizations in the United States, Canada and Europe has led to considerable cost efficiencies driving on-time, on-budget, high-quality implementation for clients. Ted has led large-scaled transformational projects and also oversaw implementation planning, project governance, and cost-benefit modeling, for clinical, revenue cycle, physician practice management, home health, and departmental systems.  Prior to joining Impact Advisors, Ted was a Senior Vice President of Health Solutions for a large healthcare solutions company and Client Services Executive with Epic Systems.


Scott Pillittere

Scott’s experience includes seven years with a big 4 Consulting firm and 13 years with one of the largest Revenue Cycle consulting firms in the nation.

Scott has managed successful Revenue Cycle system implementations for stand-alone hospitals, large health systems and large academic medical centers.  In addition, Scott has successfully managed comprehensive Revenue Cycle transformation projects with a focus in improving net revenues for his clients. Scott also has experience with Revenue Cycle system selections and Revenue Cycle system optimizations.

Scott believes that current Revenue Cycle systems can be enhanced to capture and report the metrics required to effectively manage the Revenue Cycle and best practice can be achieved with your existing Revenue Cycle system/tools.

 


Michael Nutter

He has expertise in corporate communications, training strategies and employee engagement and over the years has created many employee engagement initiatives that have led to increased employee satisfaction at the firm. Michael enhances and sustains the firm’s culture by focusing on the foundational elements of the organization’s mission, vision, values and guiding principles as they relate to inspiring employee engagement and associate satisfaction. He is also responsible for oversight in several additional areas, including associate training and development, coaching program advancement, as well as leadership development and community support.

Meg Byerly

Vice President

Meg is an experienced leader and information systems professional with 30 years of progressive leadership in acute care and outpatient healthcare services. Read More

Her demonstrated strengths include conducting financial analysis, evaluating systems, establishing vision, attaining goals by promoting teamwork, developing and implementing programs, and facilitating collaborative relationships. She has extensive Epic program leadership and implementation experience.

She is a Registered Nurse with experience in progressive operational leadership roles. This experience provides her with a wealth of knowledge in hospital operations.  In addition, she served as a Captain in the United States Air Force.

Meg has served as a project director for a number of large scale EHR implementations for both rural and urban hospitals, ambulatory and inpatient clinics and IDNs. In addition, she has experience in strategic planning and assessment as well as process redesign and improvement.


Adam Tallinger

Adam is a licensed pharmacist with over twenty-five years of experience in electronic health record implementation, IT management, executive leadership, informatics, and pharmacy operations. Read More

He has extensive experience in Epic implementation and post-live support.  His specific expertise includes enterprise, inpatient, and pharmacy clinical systems implementation; project management; system design and development; operational change management and culture shaping; executive advisory services; documentation development; and end-user training and application support.

Adam has served as a program director at multiple large scale implementations in the inpatient and ambulatory space.  He has experience with not-for-profit, for-profit, and academic medical centers.  He excels at enhancing patient care through the incorporation of technology as a partner, setting and leading to expectations, and building proactive learning cultures.

As a Vice President and Delivery Service Executive, Adam will be responsible for multiple client relationships and the quality of results at those organizations.
