Positions at Impact Advisors
Impact Advisors seeks bright, motivated individuals who are passionate about healthcare IT. We are lead by a talented team of Vice Presidents, all of whom demonstrate leadership, long-standing client relationships and commitment to grow and enhance the Firm. There are just three Associate levels below the Vice President: Principal, Senior Advisor and Advisor.
Principal
A Principal has established a strong reputation within Impact Advisors, with clients and peers in the industry. In addition to the skills of a Senior Advisor (below), the Principal demonstrates expertise in managing multiple projects and teams of resources at the same time, develops and nurtures client relationships for the firm, leads or assists in the closing of significant business and is an established leader within the Firm. A Principal shares responsibility with other members of the leadership team for the culture/morale of the Firm and its Associates and for mentoring and coaching Advisors and Senior Advisors. A Principal contributes project deliverables, work products and Firm collateral. A Principal travels approximately 75-80% of the time.
Representative activities of a Principal include:
- Working with client senior executives to establish/validate IT mission, vision and strategy and developing a decision-making framework and prioritization processes.
- Analyzing trends in IT capital, operating expense and staffing requirements and developing multi-year budgets and resource staffing plans.
- Directing IT systems planning and implementations in acute and/or ambulatory settings.
- Serving in interim management roles.
Senior Advisor
A Senior Advisors is an experienced consultant who successfully manages increasingly larger and more complex client projects with limited Principal or Vice President involvement and is able to manage multiple projects or initiatives concurrently. A Senior Advisor also manages Advisors and/or client staff on engagements and may serve as a mentor to an Advisor. A Senior Advisor works to strengthen client relationships. A Senior Advisor contributes project deliverables, work products and Firm collateral and may assist with Knowledge Management activities. A Senior Advisor travels approximately 75-80% of the time.
Representative activities of a Senior Advisor include:
- Developing technology strategic and tactical plans, interdependencies and budgets.
- Conducting and facilitating clinical, financial, and/or other system selections.
- Preparing comprehensive system implementation plans including recommendations for project governance and organization structures, budgets, work plans and schedules.
- Providing project management, product expertise, and/or assistance with implementation activities.
Advisor
An Advisor is typically newer to consulting and still enhancing their skill sets and knowledge base in the healthcare IT industry. An Advisor will work directly with a Senior Advisor, Principal or Vice President on all engagements to complete assigned tasks on time and produce quality deliverables reflective of position and expected level of experience and professionalism. An Advisor supports projects and develops skills by assisting with project management activities such as developing and managing work plans, timelines, scope, and risk. From time-to-time, an Advisor may serve as the project manager on a project and be responsible for all aspects of the project, including budget, timeline, deliverables, resources, and client invoices/receivables. An Advisor provides excellent client service in support of the Firm’s relationship with the client. An Advisor contributes project deliverables, work products and Firm collateral and may assist with Knowledge Management activities. An Advisor travels approximately 75-80% of the time.
