Dan and Larry examine the recent draft specifications for the “Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement” (or TEFCA) and provide a high-level look at how it may affect HIEs and interoperability going forward. They also review the Principles for the new Trusted Exchange and its potential impacts, provide an overview of the Minimum Required Terms & Conditions for Trusted Exchange and discuss the Top 5 things that providers and healthcare organizations should be doing now to prepare for TEFCA.
