Giving Thanks for Family

Amy Byers

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it is time to enjoy a bountiful meal with family and friends and reflect on the good things that have happened in the past year.  For 2015 has indeed been a good year, particularly at Impact Advisors.

In 2015, the team at Impact was honored to have worked with employees in many distinguished health systems to positively affect patient care—guiding HIT implementations, optimizing electronic health records, planning new facility technologies, helping develop successful IT strategies, and much more.  During this holiday season of gratitude, we pause to appreciate each of our clients for trusting us with their business.

As a firm, we are also grateful to have been honored this year with several industry awards, including Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work for 2015, Crain’s Chicago Business Fast Fifty, and Best in KLAS® Overall IT Services Firm and Clinical Implementation – PrincipalThese awards serve to validate that we are doing the right things and doing them well.

From an individual consultant’s point of view, there is also much for which to be thankful.  At Impact Advisors, our leaders lead by example, demonstrating Integrity, Motivation, Passion, Agility, Caring and Talent—our values—in their daily lives.  They are approachable with any topic of discussion at any time.  They provide an environment of security based on solid management strategies.  They keep promises.  They have assembled a talented team and a remarkable culture driven by a collective passion to “Create a Positive Impact.”  It feels good to be a part of the family atmosphere they’ve created.

At Impact, we do function more like a family than a company.  When someone needs support, word spreads quickly and multiple team members respond.  Senior staff members routinely mentor those with less experience.  And then there’s our annual meeting—a family reunion, really.  We all come together from across the country to share stories and celebrate successes.  A career that requires a lot of travel away from your family can be challenging, but having an extended family at Impact Advisors makes it quite a bit easier.

For these and many other reasons during this time for counting blessings, Impact Advisors is certainly near the top of my list!

From the Impact Advisors family to all of you, have a Happy Thanksgiving!
