Challenges

Increasingly complex regulatory requirements and the evolving business demands of accountable care mean the stakes have never been higher for your organization to effectively plan, implement and operate EHR systems. Implementation risk is high, given limited leadership availability, minimal staff experience, constrained budgets, tight timelines, and heightened user expectations. Whether it’s planning assistance or comprehensive program management, an independent implementation partner is essential. Typical challenges we will help you address include:

  • Lack of IT resources to support new and legacy systems
  • Operational leadership not available to participate and drive decisions throughout program
  • Ineffective readiness planning or change management
  • Constrained budgets and tight deadlines
  • Complex technologies and inexperienced staff
  • Multiple competing initiatives to support
  • Heightened user expectations

In the last 15 years, Impact Advisors has led or supported more than 120 successful EHR implementations across a broad range of health systems, academic and community hospitals, ambulatory clinics and physician groups.

With a planned transition to Epic via Community Connect, an FQHC faced a mountain of tasks with few resources to tackle them, and a need for better internal buy-in regarding the enterprise-wide change. Impact Advisors guided the way through go-live and beyond, serving as an advocate and liaison, Epic expert, and change management leader.

To establish trust and draw Operational and IT teams together toward a shared set of objectives, Impact Advisors’ experts leveraged prior experience working in revenue cycle leadership roles, lessons learned delivering engagements at similar organizations, and design/build expertise with the client’s EHR platform.

Bozeman Health was facing skyrocketing costs of living in its area, making it hard to recruit and retain the quality IT talent needed to oversee a new EHR implementation. Impact Advisors provided application managed services to help.
